Appropriate dress, grooming, positive self-image and proper behavior are relevant and necessary components of a quality education. In the Sparta Township Public Schools students are expected to look neat and clean and dressed in a manner considered appropriate for school. Teachers and administrators reserve the right to determine if a pupil is jeopardizing the academic environment or creating a health or safety hazard by their mode of dress. The following examples are guidelines for students, parents, and school personnel to determine what would be considered inappropriate attire.
The administration of Helen Morgan shall ask students and their parents to correct dress and grooming when it is felt that it is necessary to do so in order to preserve the school as an environment suitable for learning.
