EMERGENCY CLOSING AND DELAYED OPENINGS
 
 

In a severe storm or some other emergency, the decision to close the schools or begin on a delayed opening basis is made by 6:15 a.m. Radio stations will begin announcing the information after that time.

Delayed Openings – Students will begin classes 90 minutes later than the normal Alpine School class time of 8:25.

 

A delayed opening may result in a closing if conditions worsen after the announcement is made. It is important to continue listening for information.

If a storm develops during the day, a decision may be made to close school earlier than the regular dismissal time. Students will be bused home.
