New Middle School Math Sequence
The math course sequence that students will follow in the middle school will change to reflect the new Common Core State Standards. The change will be effective for students entering grade 6 in 2012. Students will be placed into Math 6 or Prealgebra in sixth grade. Placement will be based on NJ ASK scores, marking period grades, teacher recommendation, and the grade 5 summative math assessment.
